Good Company Electro Swing Band of Seattle brings an eclectic program of music from America’s 1920’s – speak-easy style jazz and general joy – on Sunday September 15, 2019, 2:00 pm at Kellogg Sr High School, #2 Jacobs Gulch Road. Director Carey Rayburn plays trumpet. New vocalist is Katrina Kope. Others are Ben Verdier (bass, keyboard), Joe Eck (percussion), Jake Sele (keyboard, trombone, French horn, tuba, maybe more!), and Peter Daniel (saxophone, woodwinds).

Reed All About It is Craig Catlett’s latest combo, a saxophone quartet from the Spokane area, performing at 2:00 pm Sunday October 13, 2019, at St. Rita’s Church, 25 Kellogg Ave, Kellogg. Their program goes from Mozart to Lennon-McCartney with Ellington, Cohen, and more between. The musicians all play the sax, of course, and are music educators. In addition Craig Johnson has a musical family (wife, son, daughter), likes to hike in the mountains and play basketball; Craig Catlett also plays clarinet, manages an aerospace machine shop, and likes to travel with his wife; Margie Luce is also a techie and bean-counter and has an extensive and exotic collection of fish; Ken Burger enjoys riding motorcycles, restoring 1950’s Chevy vehicles, and has performed throughout Europe.

Maxwell String Quartet of Scotland plays a mix of classical music and traditional Scottish folk selections on Sunday January 26, 2020, at 2:00 pm at The Commons of Wallace High School, #1 Miners Alley, Wallace. Musicians are Duncan Strachan, cello; Elliott Perks, viola; Colin Scobie and George Smith, violins.

Heidi Muller and Bob Webb of Enterprise Oregon bring a collection of familiar and other folk instruments to St. Rita’s Church, 25 Kellogg Ave, Kellogg, at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 22, 2020. Their program includes vocals with guitar and other accompaniment. [CANCELLED!]

Pianist Victor Santiago Asuncion will give a recital-length performance, April 26, 2020 at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 408 Cedar St., Wallace. Mr. Asuncion is from Florida and comes through the generosity of the Piatigorsky Foundation, New York City. This concert will be open to the public without charge. Reception will follow.
